THE SAFETY MESSAGE FOR TODAY: Always wear a U.S. Coast Guard approved
flotation device. The headwater elevation is 444.4 feet above mean sea level, and the tail water is 401.2 feet above M.S.L. The lake water is cloudy. The morning surface water temperature at the Rockland fishing pier is around 45.8º F. Fishing is good. Bass and Crappie are beginning to move up shallow as the water warms and are being caught using minnows, crankbaits, and jigs. Bream and Bluegill can be caught using worms, crickets and small lures off deep banks water. Sauger are beginning to be caught around the steamplant and below the dam. Normal summer pool and normal winter pool is 445.00 feet above mean sea level.
