Tailwater Boat Ramp Closure Full and intermediate closures of the boat ramp in the tailwaters of Kentucky Dam are expected to start on Monday, August 1, 2011. The closure is required for the Kentucky Department of Fish and Wildlife Resources to rebuild the ramp. The Department has been waiting for low water levels to access the lower portion of the ramp and historically July, August, September and October have provided the best opportunity for the repairs. We are anticipating that the ramp will be closed on and off for approximately one month during repairs; however, there is always the chance that high water levels could significantly impact the construction schedule and cause an extended closure. This website will be updated with any changes to the scheduled dates of closure when they are known.
