Shelter Reservations

Advanced Shelter reservations, including those for facilities at Dale Hollow Lake, can be made by calling toll free at 1-877-444-6777 or electronically on "the web" at  www.recreation.gov .   You can also click on the recreation area names below and go straight to the Recreation.gov page for that site.

  • Pleasant Grove shelterPleasant Grove Shelter:
    Pleasant Grove Recreation Area is located on a peninsula of the pristine Dale Hollow Lake, 2 miles North of Celina, TN. The area offers picnicking, a boat launch, and delineated swimming area. A picnic shelter is available for reservation. Amenities at the shelter include pedestal grill, barbecue pit, and water. Electric is not available. Mainland Day Use Area Open Year Round. Island portion of the area is closed, No Camping. Day Use Fee Charged.

    Donaldson Park Shelter (Small - S2):
    Donaldson Park is located within the city limits of Celina, TN adjacent to Obey River Tailwater. Visitors enjoy boating, fishing, and picnicking among other activities. An abundance of wildlife can be seen including white-tailed deer, bald eagles, and the occasional beaver. Two picnic shelters are available for reservation. Amenities include boat launch, playground, walking/fitness trail, marble yard, volleyball, basketball, and tennis courts. No Day Use Fee Charged.

    Obey River Park Day Use (Small - S2):
    The Obey River Day-use area is located on beautiful Dale Hollow Lake about 3 miles south of Byrdstown, TN. The area offers a playground, two picnic shelters, a swimming beach, and a boat launch. Amenities at the large shelter include fireplace, pit grill, electric, and water. Amenities at the small shelter include pedestal grill and Electric not available. Day Use Fee Charged.

    Lillydale Day Use Area is located on Dale Hollow Lake, 20 miles from Livingston, TN. The area offers picnic shelter, boat launch, playground, volleyball court, hiking trail, and swimming beach. . A picnic shelter is available for reservation. Amenities at the shelter include fireplace, pit grill, and water. Electric is not available. Day Use Fee Charged.

    The Dale Hollow Dam Day Use is located just below Dale Hollow Dam on the Obey River Tailwater in Celina, TN. The area offers a picnic shelter, individual picnic tables, fish cleaning station, fishing piers, and playground. The Obey River is known for rainbow and brown trout fishing. Located in the vicinity is the Dale Hollow National Fish Hatchery. An aquarium and raceways are available for touring daily 7am to 4pm. No Day Use Fee Charged.
     
  • Willow Grove Shelter:
    Willow Grove Shelter is located near the mid-point of Dale Hollow Lake.   A public marina is nearby.  The shelter is located 20 miles from Livingston, TN and contains 5 picnic tables and 6 side benches. Other amenities include fireplace, pit grill, playground, volleyball, electric, water, and barrier free access.  No Day Use Fee Charged.
